I am a writer and lecturer living in Cork, Ireland. I have always loved to read and write, but it wasn’t until my thirties that I took writing seriously. It took some time to realise that writing novels was actually easier for me than writing short stories. I finished a masters in creative writing in University of Edinburgh, during which I started what turned out to be my debut novel, The Murk Beneath. It is a crime novel with a twist of dark humour, but I read across genres and intend to write in other genres such as science fiction and horror.
